The gap is what makes the original worth buying.
Size, medium, deadline, revisions and deposit, before you start.
Up 10–25%, or into the next level, once pieces sell steadily.
Photograph a piece and Art Scanner suggests a starting price and explains how it got there. Gold adds every channel plus prints.

Far less than the original. As a starting point, an 8×10 print sells for about $12–$35 and a 16×20 for about $30–$90 depending on your skill level, while the original 16×20 is $130–$840. Keep prints clearly cheaper so the original stays special.
Price it like an original of the same size at your skill level, then agree the size, medium, deadline and number of revisions in writing before you start. A price sheet by size makes this quick and consistent.
Many artists ask for part of the price up front (often around half) before starting, with the rest on completion. It protects your time if the client changes their mind. Whatever you choose, write it down before you begin.
They are the starting prices the Art Scanner app uses: originals and commissions are priced by area and skill level, prints from a table by print size and skill level. They are starting points, not appraisals.
